Mobile Ministry and Mobile Church
Mobile Ministry: Impacting the World for Christ One Neighborhood at a Time
Mobile Ministry brings the pastoral ministry to individuals and families who do not attend our church via house calls, small groups and other outreach events and ministries. Mobile Ministry Teams adopt streets as their "parish" and through repeated visits get to know the people who live there. We take the church outside the four walls of our church building by visiting homes, praying for people, sharing the gospel, listening, and generally loving on folks. We also look for practical ways to demonstrate God's heart and love. Periodically we coordinate with those who live there to have outreach events designed to bless the entire neighborhood, such as Halloween alternatives and Christmas caroling. Currently we are working in three neighborhoods: Town and Country, Grove Park, and Greenway Park, but we hope that every neighborhood in which we have church members will also have mobile ministry. Check the current events page for the MM schedule.
Mobile Church: Taking the Church to the People
Mobile Church meets the first weekend of each month. Our mobile church groups individually decide when and where to meet and what format the meeting will take. The purpose is to provide "church" in a context and format that will reach people who might not ordinarily consider attending traditional services. Check the current events page for details. On mobile church weekends, regular services are not held at the church facility.
