Distance Learning Course Books and Requirements

Systematic Theology, Instructor - Bill Powell: Each student must purchase Systematic Theology by Wayne Grudem. Students must also either purchase the workbook from Bill Powell ($15) or he can send you the workbook as an email attachment for free. Then you would need to print it and bind it for your use. Over the two-year enrollment period, the student will complete the study of Grudem's book, using Powell's workbook as a study guide. Questions from the workbook will be submitted to the instructor on a regular basis. Periodic discussions will be set up between students and instructors, either face to face or via some other format, such as Skype conference calls.

Principles of Biblical Interpretation, Instructor - Mark Medley: Each student must purchase How to Read the Bible for All It's Worth by Gordon Fee and Douglas Stuart. The course requirements are detailed in a syllabus that can be downloaded here. MP3s of the lectures will be made available for download for students only. A sample lecture can be listened to by clicking here.

Other Policies

Students must complete and submit all course work within thirty (30) days after the teacher concludes teaching. Any student who submits work after this deadline will not receive credit for the course.

Students who do not satisfactorily complete all assigned course work during their two-year enrollment period, must re-enroll for another two year period in order to finish.

MBPC students may enter the two-year program during any year in January.

No credit will given for courses that are audited; although, records will be maintained in the MBPC office.

MBTI training events will be open to persons not enrolled in the Pastors College.

Any fees or costs associated with MBTI events will be handled through the host churches or event coordinators.

MBTI event coordinators will send the MBPC dean a list of all students who satisfactorily complete any training event. Records will be kept in the MBPC office.

Efforts will be made to schedule MBTI events in such a way so they will not conflict with MBPC courses and intensives, but this will not always be possible.

Reports will be sent to students at the end of each year regarding course completion and grades.

Students will receive a certificate upon completion of all course work.
