Why the leaf? As you may imagine, we spent a long time designing and
refining our logo. We chose the leaf to represent God's life springing
up anew in those who believe as a result of the inner work of the Holy
Spirit and the finished work of Christ. The Psalmist wrote:
They are like trees planted along the riverbank,
bearing fruit each season without fail.
Their leaves never wither,
and in all they do, they prosper. Psalm 1:3 (NLT)
The leaf represents life. Life springs from the cross of Christ, which
was an instrument of death. Resurrection life is represented by the leaf
in our logo. The tree of death, the cross, has become a tree of life, whose
"...leaves...are for the healing of the nations." (Revelation 22:2 NIV)
We believe the Lord has called us to a healing and restoration ministry that extends to
the ends of the earth. Liberty Church, by the grace of God, is an oasis
of healing and refreshing to weary and dry. We share in the ministry of Jesus
Himself who came to deliver and heal all who are oppressed by the devil. Our logo reminds us of our privilege of participation
in this kingdom ministry.
Each spring new leaves spring forth as the sun warms the earth. As the
love of God warms our hearts, the fruit of the Spirit begins to emerge
in our lives. We enter a new time of blessing and growth. The Bible says
that healthy Christians flourish like green olive trees.
Why not invite the Holy Spirit to make your life fresh and vibrant, too?
