A Brief History

Liberty Church was launched in the Fall of 1988. The former Maranatha Church in Greensboro, NC, now Living Way Church, began a home Bible study in Burlington, NC. which was led by Pete Beck III who was then an assistant pastor. Over time this small group grew and became what is now Liberty Church of Burlington. Pete is the senior and founding pastor, and his Dad is now part of the advisory council and still provides apostolic input. We occupied several buildings during the first several years and were blessed with our current facility in March, 1996. A photo of our first building is on the left.
